Dear reader,

 

The intention to write this book stems from the idea of sorting out and writing down my exciting and often challenging life, primarily for myself, my children, grandchildren and friends.

 

Everything I write down are memories and my subjective truth. Other people around me may remember stories differently. What I write here is my personal view of things and situations.

 

I have tried to research historical facts to the best of my ability and knowledge. I deliberately only deal with political events superficially - including the impact on my own biography. You will probably be able to understand the WHY.

 

I would like to thank all those who have provided me with historical photos, shared memories and thoughts with me about the past and also who have supported me in the creation of this little booklet.
